Do you like curtains but just can't sew or don't want to spend a fortune?
~Flat Sheets~
My mom taught me this great inexpensive tip, using flat sheets, to make curtains.
Buy your flat sheet.
Just simply turn it on it's backside and put a little slit on the back of the thick hem, at each end. Then slide it through your rod! It is hemmed, inexpensive, long and beautiful.

Front view....so you can't see the slit.
~Finished result~
I always add a ribbon tie and sometime (like above) a curtain panel in the middle, to break up the pattern and color. The panel in between this curtain is a soft meshed linen purchased at DI for $1.00.
Kitchen curtains (also from flat sheets)
Before...super plain
(sorry hard to see)
