Picture Frame Makeover

I love finding little goodies at the DI (local thrift store) for my home. Little accessories can make or break a room. So I am always on the hunt for a little extra something to replace on my shelves or keep around the house!

I found this GORG goodie for $2.00.
Yes once again the $2.00 Holla dance on my part!
WOOT WOOT!!
(You would all LURVE my saweeet dance moves...ha)

The perfect frame for a 11x14 picture.
Exactly what I needed!

So I spray painted it high gloss white.
And then of course, sanded the edges so the old paint and edges were exposed!
LURVING IT!

Then I found another old frame I had laying around and took the glass out of it to fit this frame.
(I seem to be collecting frames also! I have a whole shelf devoted to frames that I will SOMEDAY use!)

And now for the best part...Hanging the PICTURE!
Found a knob I had laying around and glued dotted it to the wall!

Then hung the picture and tied up some ribbon....

 Now I get to enjoy!

Have you found any goodies lately?

Back 2 School BLING...

Shout out to Beyonce ( meet you at the Ivy later,Wink... Wink!), "If you like it then you better put a ring on it!" Wa Oh Oh, Wah ah ah Oh!

We had this FABULOUS idea to make button rings for us and for our little girls. First, we tried it with some posts we found at the craft store, but they were too cheap and they just didn't turn out. Finally, we discovered this stretchy cord that worked famously! The buttons fit right to the finger, and look way too cute to Boot!~ We can't get enough of them, and have become quite obsessed. We thought this would be a great back to school project with the girlies. You can use buttons, old earring's that have broken, beads, etc. We have even used fabric! ( tutorial on fabric flowers found on earlier post HERE!) We hope you like them and start working on rings to go with all of your cute, new, back to school outfits!

First, purchase your materials. Beading Cord found at fabric or craft store, and buttons Galore!

Next, Cut off the back of the button.

Then, cut the cording to fit around your finger.

Now, place a dab of hot glue on the back of the button.

Next, hook each end of the cording to the glue.

Finally, cut out a small piece of felt to put over the glue and help hold the ring together.

Now put your bling on and sing with me..."All the single ladies, All the single ladies!"

"Now put your hand up... Wah ah oh, wah ah ah oh!"

Hello Sweetness! Don't you just Lurve? ( The purple one is an old earring that broke..Two for the price of one! Holla!)

Here are the fabric goodies!

HUMMMM.... If only we had our nails done? Oh well!
