So, just as my title suggests, I have been "feeling a little blah" lately. I feel like I have put my health on the back burner. I know that it is an easy thing to do when you have a family, and there needs come before your own, but It has been weighing me down, LITERALLY.! I am still hanging on to twenty extra pounds of baby weight. Can it still be considered baby weight when your baby is now nine months? YIKES!! Keep in mind that question is completely rhetorical. So instead of being a baby, and obsessing on my weight issues, I decided to do something about it. I have been waking up early and walking around this beautiful city that I grew up in. Let me tell you, It has made a HUGE difference. My days are better, my attitude is more positive, and I am easier to live with (my husband can attest to this!). I already feel so much healthier. I have energy throughout my days, and I have been allot kinder to myself. The walks are beautiful. The sun is shining,(THANKFULLY), the birds are chirping, and I am completely alone in thought. After I walked the bike path at the old park, I even stopped to swing for a few seconds. I'm sure the other joggers thought I was crazy, but I couldn't resist. The youthful feeling of swinging quickly came to an end when I decided to tip my head backward, which sent me spinning in a dizzy craze (BAD IDEA!!).

I ended my route with a familiar trail I used to walk, and bike ride with my dad when I was younger. The sound of the wheat wrestling around in the wind, was practically tranquil. I have been watching for fresh asparagus to sprout up along the ditch bank. I spotted wild cats, squirrels, birds, cows, and horses, but no such luck with the asparagus. I will be keeping my eyes peeled in mornings to come.

Each morning when my walk is about to come to an end and I reach my neighborhood, the smell of freshly cleaned laundry comes wafting out of Sister Krantz's home. It Makes me realize my peaceful alone time is coming to an end, and motivates me to get started on my daily tasks.

"When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other people. The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous we can be toward others."- Eda LeShan

About Me

                                 Hi my name is Sharla.
My FAMILY and my HOME    is a haven of rest, a sanctuary of peace,  and most of all a harbor of love.

I am blessed to be a mother to three boys who fill my life with so many positive things and who help define and strengthen me to be who I am.
I feel a sense of gratitude to live in a time, day , and age where we have so many opportunities to express ourselves,be inspired, inspire others, make a difference, build, shape, let our voices be heard and ultimately create who we are.
My current inspirations help to provoke my interests, that are are quilting, crafting, cooking, all things preparedness, sewing, my family, coupon-ing, thrift shopping, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, refurbishing,  and I love, love all things music.
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know a bit of me. :)
A wise man once said great words of inspiration  MAKE IT HAPPEN
and I hope you do just that!

~About Me~

Bon

I am a stay at home mama of five beautiful children.
I love anything and everything that inspires me and gets the cogs turning.(tehe)
I find joy in simple things of life.
My family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, my photography business, hobbies, talents, expressing, and creating.

I am a HUGE believer that a home should be a safe haven from the outside world.
A place that is cozy and inviting.

You don't have to have a fancy mansion or the "best of the best" to be happy.
I love making my home be just that! A safe and beautiful place to come to!
I love to use my hands to create things!
I believe that by trying things yourself, you appreciate things more!

I love people.
I love life!
I love learning, discovering, and most of all being happy!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
Hope to see you again soon!

About Katie

 Hi my name is Katie!

Growing up in a large family I never really expressed myself through what my 'space' looked like.
What Space? :)
Now that I am a homeowner, wife, and mother, I've found there is a certain satisfaction that comes in making your home a place that is uniquely YOU!!! I absolutely love spending time in my home, surrounded by the ones I love.

I frequently get inspired by magazines/books/shows/blogs/websites and of course my beautiful sisters, and then tweak it to fit my home & personality. Reading, thrifting, finding bargains, singing, couponing, spending time with family, scrapbooking, and creating are some of my favorite things! Being a part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints greatly enriches my life and makes me want to be the best homemaker/creator/problem solver I can be.

I agree with Antoine de Saint-Exupery when he said "True Happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the ZEST of CREATING things new."

My hope is for my home to be a place to INSPIRE and ENRICH the lives of those who enter.

I am equally excited to join my "MUCH OLDER" sisters (tehe) at Drab to Fab!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
