Printables for the Entry Way

I knew a wanted a simple 3 picture collage.
One big picture of the kids or our family, and a simplistic quote or saying to each side.  I found the frames and hastily filled the space, but I never really LOVED the printables.
I wanted something with deeper meaning. That's when these lyrics hit me.

Have you heard the song "Families can be Together Forever?" 

It is from the LDS children's hymn book.

It is my families favorite song to sing on our family night. I often find the lyrics running through my head throughout the day. 

The first verse says

"I have a family here on earth,

they are so good to me.

I want to share my life with them,

through all eternity."

I don't know why I hadn't thought of incorporating the lyrics before. But when the idea came to me, I knew it was what I wanted for each said of the main picture.
I took the last 2 lines and created (2) 5x7 chalkboard printables.

You can enjoy them too!

I {heart} the LDS General Women's Conference. I always leave feeling so uplifted and renewed, ready to tackle life's worries and woes, and more willing to serve others around me. 

All the talks were wonderfully delightful.

EAT Sign

Seriously my house is so empty. I have so much work to do to feel some of these voids. 

I was so excited about having kitchen cabinets I could decorate above. But I do admit, they are a bit overwhelming to me now.

I knew I wanted a large EAT sign, but couldn't find one simplistic enough for my taste. I found a perfect frame with great structure for $2.00. 

I made a simple 11x14 chalkboard EAT sign.

I then spray painted the gold frame with this spray paint.

I do love how it turned out. 

Perfect for the empty space above my microwave cabinet!

Picture Frame Makeover

I had to squeeze as many spray painting projects as I possibly could in, yesterday, when we had beautiful weather. My house didn't get cleaned, my bed didn't get made, and to be honest I didn't get ready all day, but I was able to get quite a few projects done. So it felt like it was a "win, win" situation.

They have some pretty great ideas and some fabulous free printables too!

I found this beautiful printable for my kitchen. 

A guest blogger, Jessica from Pen and Paper Flowers, designed it.

I knew I needed it right away for my kitchen.

So I went out to my trusty frame bin and found a 8x10 frame.

Not a bad color to begin with, but I wanted a white frame.

So I grab some white spray paint {white and black spray paints are great colors to just always keep on hand} and gave this frame a quick coat.

{I am pretty sloppy when I spray paint. Especially when I know I will be sanding what I am working on to antique it. It does not matter if it is perfect }

Here it is, after a light sanding to expose the original frame colors.

After I wiped off the dust with an unused sponge brush, my picture was ready to be framed and displayed.

The best part of this window display is that all the decor was either free or purchased at a thrift shop.

The frame was free { I had it on hand}

The white vase was .75 cents

The greenery was $2.00

The tall green vase was $2.00

The fruit stand was $1.00

Now for some curtains and another beautiful day so I can spray paint the fruit stand as well!

OCT. Conference Printables...

Conference weekend are some of my most favorite weekends. Like many, our family tries to make these days extra special. They often consist of nature drives and hikes in the mountains in between meetings, preparing special meals, snacks and desserts for each session, Visiting grandma and grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins, building massive LEGO creations with dad, playing games and activities that go along with each of the speakers, and listening to the sweet and tender words of our dear Prophet and his Apostles.

The messages from this months Conference did not disappoint. I felt like many of the talks given were with me personally in mind. And guess what, they were! They were given for each, and with each of us in mind. I soaked in all of the words that were spoken and found myself re-listening to many of the talks over, and over again. Don't you just love the warmth, wisdom, and the rejuvenating strength you feel to do and be better!? I can't get enough of it!

Free Printable Teacher Gift Idea

Can you believe that summer has come and gone and it is school time already?

I hope you all had a fabulous summer soaking in the sun, enjoying your families, and hopefully getting a little creativity in here and there! 

You all know by now that I LOVE teacher gifts.

It is a great way to show our support and appreciation for all their hard work! 

One of my favorite things to do at the beginning of the year is some sort of quote or art in a frame. 

The frame can work as a bonus all year round when you send in new pictures or art for the teacher to replace in it. 

Keep checking back because I intend to make something for all the holidays that you can have printed and replace in your own teachers gift frame.

I found this lovely little quote on the Pinterest and knew it was perfect for a teacher.

So I designed it the way I wanted it and made it so that you can print it off too!

Here are the 5x7 designs

 This will allow you to save the image of your choice to the destination you chose.

Totally easy, right??

We had some dollar store frames in our frame bin and decided on black.
You could easily paint a frame too!
