I get sick of things occasionally in my house.
Lots of little things in my house definitely need a "Drab to Fab" makeover. I love this window box I built.
But it has been this color for four years now.
But it has been this color for four years now.
And paired against my curtains it drowns out in neutrals!
So I painted it this color. ( I know sigh, scream, roll over in your seat in sheer and utter shock)
Obviously I am joking.
Obviously I am joking.
We all know I LURVE black!
I slightly sanded the edges!
Much better!
Total Drab to Fab transformation!
Now to take down those wretched blinds!
I NEVER EVEN NOTICED THAT THAT WINDOW BOX WAS WHITE BEFORE! IT TOTALLY LOOKS BETTER, GOOD JOB!
ReplyDeleteYOUR KITCHEN LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!
Boogs, the black really does look better. When are you going to come and help me paint? HANNA, WHY ARE YOU YELLING?
ReplyDeleteI love the window box. I also have those wretched blinds and I despise them. I am going to show the hubby how good your back door looks with curtains and that lovely window box, so maybe he will let me get rid of the blinds! By the way, I hope you don't care that I linked this site and your photo site to my shabby 2 sweet blog.
ReplyDeleteOf course it is absolutely fine Kristin. We are working on our side bar link and will add you too!
ReplyDeleteLove your wood cornices and the black distressed paint. I saw something a while ago where someone covered their vertical blinds in a natural material like seaglass (think it could be done in burlap too and would be super cute!) It actually looked REALLY cute! Sorry I can't remember what blog!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your window boxes! Any chance you could post a tutorial or instructions? (I ACTUALLY got hubby on board to make something like this for my living room!) Jon thinks he can figure it out, but a guide would be lovely. The things you guys come up with are absolutely amazing! :D Thanks!
