This Mama is excited for her baby girl to come

Oh nothing...just made up a diaper bag...since I can't buy the one I REALLY want at Target!
Of course those followers who have followed for a while know I'm a 80% and so I made this up...really not so hard...but did forget to take pictures along the way...so I thought I'd just share.
I'm JUST A LITTLE giddy about our newest-soon-to-be-arrival
(whom we have not picked a name for???? HELP)

You go ROCK it......

Getting ready for the BABY!!!!

I told myself two days ago...."Self...you need a tiny chest of drawers or end table that you can have in the family room that will hold Baby Essentials" So I got myself in the car and drove down to DI...Low and BEHOLD...this $8 perfect find....
So I decided to paint it white and then told myself..."Self I need to make some number stamps and birds on a stick stamps..."so i whipped those out with my NOT SO ARTIST sketching ability. All you need is sticky matted foam "stuff" in the craft isle at Walmart.
Draw your art on the back and then cut out, peel the paper off cut a piece of wood and stick it to it...EASY CHEESY! These are my numbers and my other bird on the wood....
Then sand to your liking....I went outside to get my sander and my Darling little Derby (Our newest member of the family,  wire hair fox terrier) chewed the cord completely off the sander...NOT A HAPPY moment in my life....so I had to resort to hand sanding it....which I H.A.T.E! But i do LOVE how it turned out.
Add a coat of Clear Spray paint and Vaaaww-La!
A place for diapers, wipes, plugs/binki's, clothing, burp clothes...that I can send my kids to fetch for me.

Vintage High Chair Revamp.....

Found this puppy for $10.00 at the DI. I usually wouldn't have paid that much, but it was vintage, and in GREAT condition! I actually used crafting Toll Paint this time. Just painted a few coats, and let some of the old wood show through. Love the way it turned out, and used it at my latest photo shoot. (I Forgot to get a picture of the before, so I found one that was close to the original by googling vintage high chairs.)

Don't you just ♥ how fresh a coat of paint can make things?

FAB summer "I'm BORED" busters

As I have been going NUTS ALREADY with the "what is there to do's.....I'm BORED...etc"  I decided to google and find some fun and creative ways to get my kids OUT and ACTIVE!  I have come across some FABULOUS Blogs with the perfect ideas...

I fell in LOVE with the Blog from the second I entered. I am all about lists and organization and cleanliness. http://cleanmama.blogspot.com/2010/05/summer-fun-container.html

The "sisters stuff" ALWAYS has fun ideas and creativity way for mom's to stay happy, but I wanted to share there list of 100 things to do with the kids this summer
http://sistersstuff.blogspot.com/2010/06/100-summer-activites-for-kids.html

I think we ALL love Tip Junkie and all of her FABULOUS tips.... :O) She rocks on SO many levels!
http://www.tipjunkie.com/2009/06/summer-activities-for-the-kids.html

When we were kids if we said we were bored our mom gave us a chore. So I am currently working on a "I'm Bored" jar and if they say I'm Bored they have to pick a chore...which will NOT be a fun chore...such as
-picking up dog poop...weeding...things kids REALLY don't want to do...I think they'll get the point after having to pick something to do out of that jar.

But I made this poster that is going to hang right by my back door with 24 fun things the kids can do ALL by thenselves...(which the rule is they have to do it for a half hour before they ask to do something else....

Hope you like and have MANY ways to keep kids happy and entertained this summer....
