When thrifting I try hard to find pieces that I can use for multi purposes.
As you all know by now I LURVE photog.
So I tend to buy a lot of pieces for my business.
When searching for pieces for my business, I try to find things I can use in my house and also on a shoot.
Enter...THIS wretched LOVELY!
(Samsonite luggage be still my heart! ....said in my best "It's Pat" voice ...tehe)
I knew this above UG had MAJOR potential.
So I took this spray paint.
So bright and cheery.
And gave this Ugly a healthy dose of paint.
DOUBLE BONUS...
I get to use it on a shoot...
And as a storage bin for my girls dress up clothes!
How adorable!!

I'm loving the word "drabfabular"
ReplyDeleteI love it! I like the bold colors that you use! I haven't thought of "It's Pat" in years. Makes me think of my sisters. Thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! I have been watching for a vintage suitcase to make my own as well!
ReplyDeleteI lurve the "It's Pat" shout out! "Oh my nuts, my afternoon snack!" Hahaha! Love it, and drabfabular it is. Even better when seen in person. Can't wait to do this.

Hmmmm, painted. Good idea. I have a stack of suitcases in our front room filled with negatives and photos... I figure if ever there was an emergency and we had to get out fast we'd throw them out the door and our photos would be safe.
ReplyDeleteWe also have a suitcase for dress up clothes and one for Build a Bear clothes.
My friend just sent me a link to your blog because I just scored a similar suitcase full of fabric and sewing stuff for $3. Only mine is already yellow. Really they are the exact same color! And "drabfabular" is such a great word!
